Multiple Marathon Questions.

Guys,

I am a newbie to carts and I really appreciate the help I'm getting.

I have a 94 Gas Marathon that I acquired 2 weeks ago for the purpose of using as a hunting buggy. It is already lifted and has 22" tires. I had it out for about a 10 mi run today to check it out.

I have several questions that you may be able to help me with.

1. Motor mounts. I can grab the drive belt and pull up on it and the engine moves about a 1/4" toward the axle. Too much play? Where do you suggest I buy new?
2. Belt. I've been reading about running a shorter belt for more torque. Mine measures 40-7/8" and is super easy to get on and off. Is there a shorter one or could the play be tied to the motor mounts?
3. Carb linkage rod ends. Where can I buy just the ends? I don't need the whole rod, just the plastic ends.
4. Steering Play. I have isolated the play to the gear box. Seems to be in the mesh between reduction gear and the rack gear. Can't say for sure about the column gear and the reduction gear. Anyway to check this? Suggestions on where to buy the parts?
5. Engine. The guy I bought it from said the engine was redone a few years ago, however I am only getting about 95psi compression, slightly better adding oil. Also, a little oil is ending up in the breather. Suggestions on where to aqcuire a top end rebuild or if there is an alternative fix?
