1987 ID and Belt HELP!! Please
Serial Number = 395371
Manuf. Code = D1886 I typed the serial in on Ez go website and came up with this: 1987 PC4GX- Gas Personnel Carrier But Im not sure what belt I need? Can anyone help out? |

The last two of the manufacturers code show your cart to be an 86 not 87. However it is of little import as the 86 and 87 are identical both being the stalwart little 2PG engine. The correct belt is shown here
http://www.everythingcarts.com/p-349...gas-76-87.aspx but you can just Google "EZGO 2PG drive belt" and hit a few hundred sites. Some owners, myself included, have increased their hill climbing and low end torque abilities by fitting a slightly shorter belt. I use the DAYCO HP3004 and have been very pleased with the results. However you should be aware that some owners who have used this belt have reported problems. These problems seem to revolve around having a well used Comet clutch installed. If you have any doubts as to the integrity of your clutches you may well be better off using the correct 45" belt. Dave |
