Have power, but no go.
I have a '99 EZ GO TXT DCS. Recently torn down and did some fixin' on it. Put it back together and everything worked. I was hooking up my analog battery gauge and touch the wire to the back of the key switch and it sparked. Solenoid shot, replaced that today. I have back up beeper, power to key switch and controller, but cart will not move. I'm stumped. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Re: Have power, but no go.
Or the peddle box micro. Those little micro switches are like 3 amp fuses....

Subby44: Where is the reed switch located? This is my first cart, learning as I go.
Scottyb: Can I just pull the switch out? Is the fuse in it? |

Re: Have power, but no go.
the reed switch is located on the back of the charger recepticle there should be a black wire a white wire and a smaller red and white wire. the smaller wire is going to the reed switch.. If you take the cover off of the recepticle you can see it.. it is about 39.00 i by-passed mine. you can test it to see if it is bad.. run a size 14 wire to your far right pos batt. terminal and hold it to the the conection on the reed switch.. hope this helps and makes sense..
i just ran a 10 amp inline fuse to mine. it seems to work fine... |
