1996 ezgo dcs bigger tires!!!

My 96 DCS has stock tire on it. I am ready to replace them. what could i do to get the cart off of the ground a little more besides lifting it? do i need to replace tires and wheels or just the tires. I would perfer to just change the tires.. Thanks

You can go to a larger tire without a lift, a 20" tire will fit on your stock rims. Just make sure you keep your cart charged well, DCS carts can and will burn out the controller if voltage drops too low,and with the added weight of the tires it will not help it. Good Luck

losthusker, Thanks!! I only use the cart for golf.. do you think this will still hurt the cart in the long run? or do i need to stick with what i have now... Thanks again...

If you keep it well charged it should be ok, but there is always the risk, if you were to upgrade your controller solenoid then you would be better off, but it's jmo.

Your stock tire is a 18" tire, so a 20" tire will not change it much. Some golf coarses will not allow lifted or off road tires on the coarse.
