ez-go gas over charging
Need help with the starter/generator over charging. Have 18 plus volts at half idle.

Measure the battery voltage at rest, now remove the green wire from the generator, keep the end from shorting to ground and start the cart (on axle stands) You should see no change. If you still see 18 volts either the green wire is shorted to ground or your regulator is shot. Running for any time at this voltage will hurt your battery as well as your ignition.

we have tried everything! Would you have any wiring diagrams? I am thinking something is hooked up wrong. We have a new voltage regualtor, The cart is a 2004 txt
