The only silly (or dumb) questions are the ones not asked.

It applies to all years and models the have a Curtis 1206MX controller.
That more or less limits it to year 2000 and up, PDS carts and the TXT body style.
There are other body styles (ST, MPT, Workhorse, etc) that have Sepex motors, but I'm not sure if they have 1206MX controllers.

Attached is a chart of the the speeds you get in the 4 PDS modes with stock motor and tires.

Tony, you are leaving out a critical piece of information.

Unless that 2007 TXT is a PDS cart, this thread does not apply.
Unless a PDS cart has the stock 1206MX controller, this thread does not apply.

Some aftermarket controllers for Sepex motors are user programmable, but only the 1206MX does it with various jumper combination on a molex plug that is plugged into J2 on the controller.

Sorry about the lack of information but I am very new and I mean very new to this game.
It is a DPS cart and yes it is a stock cart. I did purchase an Alltrax 500 controller, upgraded all the cables with compatible solenoid. Took it a dealer and he fitted all the parts and programmed it with his computer. But after having all the work done it would go fast but had no torque. It hardly went up a slight incline. He tried his best but could not get it go any better than when it was stock. He removed the Alltrax controller and solenoid put the original parts back so we back to a stock cart with ungraded cables. Goes well as can be expected for golf but it same old question "What would be like it with this new update equipment". Well I will never know unless I can find someone that do it for me.

I'm JohnnieB rather than Scottyb.

In your other posts you mentioned having an Alltrax controller, so I was emphasizing this thread only applies to stock PDS controllers.

I'm fairly new to carts also, but have an extensive background in electronics and electro-mechanical devices, and I used to teach troubleshooting, so they are relatively simple machines to me.
Other than what actually goes on inside the electronic speed control box, the technology used is over a hundred years old. Even the mechanical functions date back to the early automobiles.

Your statement that your cart "would go fast but had no torque" with a 500A controller tells me something was wrong. I think you should have gotten more speed and at least as much torque as a stock PDS controller.

With a completely stock PDS cart except for 2Ga cables I get about 18MPH in the "Freedom" mode and while it does slow down on inclines, it doesn't slow down all that much.

My suggestion is that you start a new thread about the difficulties you are having with your cart and I'm pretty sure some guys that are running Alltrex 500A controllers in PDS carts will be along with some insight as to why it was fast and had no torque.

Thanks for the info. I have a few more questions.
1. Is all terrain (no jumpers) the factory default?
2. Does more pedal up braking = more regeneration?
3. What voltage and current is carried through these jumpers?

@ engineer73, would you mind posting the part number of the switch you used? The only ones our Advanced Auto has will not allow you to remove the key unless the switch is in the " off " position. They said this is the only one they offer.
