Anyone know about '87 CC Front End Cap Light

I used to think that too, but when I took my "old-mold" cowl off to do my lift, it's made of plastic just like the newer ones. My guess is that maybe in the last couple years of using the old mold, they went plastic. Not sure.

Although my cart has the older style front cowl, it has a '93-up rear body (the older body was fiberglass and had the fender flares fastened to it, rather than being part of the body mold).

I think that the reason for the cowl redesign was in fact so that larger headlights could be used. Possibly because of the new-for-1992 Carryall which used that flat steel bar that goes around the front of the cowl, the headlights needed to be higher.

A few years ago I had 3 of these that I got in a package deal from a golf course. I installed them on some Carryall models that I was flipping...they looked great & changed the entire look of the front end. Kindof made it look like a small truck. They did come with the cheapo template but you really don't even need that...there is a HUGE amount of room for error when cutting the cowl. You don't have to cut the center section as the plastic fits over it. In fact, if your cowl is cut from the factory for lights, this merely slips right into place covering all the holes. I'll see if I can find any pix. If anyone knows where to currently buy these I'm all ears!
