I agree 100% with Scotty and Shadowman... but if you do insist on doing this mod, keep in mind you've got 36V solenoids on this car as well. You can't energize them with 48V or they'll burn up. Sure you can run 48V through the main contactor but as far as energizing it goes, no don't do it. Find the common wire between all solenoids (probably the negative) and relocate it somewhere else on the battery pack. I'd recommend 32V since you're not going to be able to draw a perfect 36V from a group of 8 Volt batteries.

Do you have a pic of the conversion parts? I am new to the golf cart scene and am still trying to figure all this out. I am a better visual person. I have sorced a motor rebuilder locally so I might just go ahead a strip everthing else and do your conversion and get some 48v batteries.

The CC throttle conversion kit is built to fit the DS model CC 1981 and UP. Club Car built this chassis for over 20 years with little change. I'm not sure what the differences are compared to the older Caroche models. This is the throttle conversion as shown in a 1986 model.

This is the new throttle conversion kit. It includes a bell crank assembly, Potentiometer mount and adjustable throttle linkage. All this makes it a plug and play conversion kit for DS carts. I have some cart shop customers who are keeping one on the shelf so that they can offer a quick and easy CC conversion.
But yes, it is new.
In the past you had to do your own throttle contraption

If I am looking at that right does the conversion bolt under the seat? All of mine are up on the dash area, shouldnt be a problem to mount it where mine is now and just make a harness extension with some Molex plugs on it to lengthen it to the controller.
