Default New to golf carts

I just pucharsed a golf cart , i belive its a 1991.

Could someone tell me what the manufacture number means..

Its f2891.. , it says ez-go extron augusta, ga..

The batteries are in bad condition, corrision on all the terminals..

Il clean all this up and test the batteries..

They are trojan, negitive terminal f 5 , possitive e o .

That would be june 2005 may 1st right..

The cart had been siting in a warehouse for the last 3 years , allways covered , hasent been screwed with or butchered.

there are a couple of lose wires that wernt connected to anything in the battery comparment....

Any links to relevant information to this cart would be apperiated.

It also says freedom on it.

Welcome to BGW!

If it is a 1991, it is probably a Marathon.
It might be a resistor drive, or have an electronic speed controller.
Pictures of cart and under the seat would help identify it.

At best, the batteries are 7 years old and need to be replaced.
If they sat for 3 years and weren't maintained during that time, they are boat anchors.
