Re: Need Help Smoking real bad.
Just want to give a big shout out for everyones help. I am up and rolling smoke free. I dumped my oil and put in one quart. My new full mark is 1/2 inch below the max line. I do have 2" rear shock extensions which must be throwing off my dipstick mark. Cleaned out my airbox and sealed it up. No smoke at all still a little oil smell but that should burn away.

Re: Need Help Smoking real bad.
There is a perfectly good reason for the "weird" dipstick readings. A golf cart is often used for only short trips (hole to hole). The engine often never reaches a warm normal operating temp. The low temps, compared to an engine constantly running, causes unburned fuel to build up in the oil. A fresh oil change on a Yamaha G2-G9 will show "half-way" on the dipstick. When the "full" line is reached, oil build up is high enough to require an oil change. If you run around with the oil at the full line, you WILL end up with oil in the airbox, and smoke out the exhaust (plus ruined air filter). Have yet to see how the fuel buildup situation will change with the new Fuel injection carts, we sell way more electric than gas. I Love the TXT top on your cart, never seen or tried that before, SWEET!!
