G16 engine rebuild question
In the process of doing my first engine rebuild and I have a question about which size piston I should order. If cylinder measurements are ok for standard size piston should I just go with that or should I have the cylinder bored and go with the .25 or .50 over piston? I read on here somewhere that the bigger piston will give you more power but would I then have to change the carb jet or any other issues. Just looking for the pros and cons so I can make a good decision.

Re: G16 engine rebuild question
If the cylinder hones out good (no scores in cylinder and piston skirt), and std rings are within spec on ring gap, I'd just rering. Problem with boring, you get 2 chances....25 and .50 then the block is not useable anymore. I honestly can't tell the power diferance from std to .50 over. Good luck on your rebuild
