G1 key,choke moved to middle of seat's
I saw a pic of this mod. Wasn't a great pic but I got the concept. Anyone else done this? No more reaching across, Maybe put a cooler in front of steering wheel what a great idea.

I believe Todd Dofi (sp?) has his green cart that way.

Right on...did you just move wires or a rewire? I figure more wire needed to open up to engine bay?

The wires....yep, snip snip and connect back up. Just measure how far you want to go, mock it up with some scrap wire to determine the length you need. Then, "ONE AT A TIME" now, cut them and splice in the lengthened piece. I used some very high quality speaker wire with a high strand count in a matching gauge size, 14 I think? The speaker wire is very flexible. Then I layed them out and used a good quality electrical tape to tape them all up. If they are wrapped up really good they shouldn't get rubbed through from vibration. Zip tie them up and you're done. Took me a couple hours. Oh, don't forget to test it out before wrapping it all up. If you need to redo any connections you'll have to unwrap it all. Just cycle it to forward and step on the gas, then to reverse and step on the gas. If she spins you're good to go! Good luck! |

Re: G1 key, choke moved to middle of seat's
Use the right gauge crimp connector or solder the wires together when you splice. Just twisting the wires together and taping is NOT a good connection.
