No slid right on no problem , took motor apart and blew out all the dust to ,the motor bearing didn't seem bad it spun pretty free , took it to a repair place here and there saying rear wheel bearings but Iam not buying that ..

How can I check that motor bearing I actually have a new one and I have a bearing pulley are they hard to get back on ?

i bougth a 97 ds and it makes what sounds like the same noise. did you ever figure out where it was comming from?

no I did not !!! just keep drivin it even though it sounds like crap , its either the motor or the rear end guess when it breaks I will know then .

I'm with what Dawg said a while back, REALLY sounds like a guide ring needing replaced - especially since it only does it when decelerating or going constant, not on acceleration.

ive replaced that already ,and replaced the motor bearing .

ok so lets say I didn't use the right glue (even though I used black Loctite) would it still sound that bad with the wrong glue ?

I'm not sure on that one... I used loctite extreme condition super glue once when I was in a bind, still holding up with no noise to this day, so I'd assume yours is alright. My only other guess is gear chatter, I suppose you could try to find another rear end from a parts cart and swap it in if the noise is really bad.
