A few Club Car Precedent Questions
Ok so I'm new to the site but have had a 07 made street legal for about a year now. Today I bought a second one that's a 05 for a really good deal. The batteries in the newly bought one has 4-12v Trojans in it. I'm guessing the batteries are toast because it runs super slow. I put a back up set in it I had laying around and it seems to run fine. My main question is can someone point me to the correct thread for trying to rejuvenate batteries. Almost like a refurbish I can do to all 12 of my batteries.
Thanks, Daniel |

There is no tooth fairy and no way to truly refurbish batteries....

Re: A few Club Car Precedent Questions
Ok so I'll look at upgrading batteries. For the longest run times what configuration do I do and what else will need to be purchased besides the batteries?
Thanks in advance |

Re: A few Club Car Precedent Questions
If you have a cart with four 12 volt batteries that need replacement and want a longer running and stronger cart you will want to convert to six 8 volt battery configuration. If you read the stickies they will explain how to best go about this relatively simple but expensive conversion.

Next question.Stock Monroe shocks are blown in rear and i ordered a new taller set but they are to tall. I have a 6'' lift and want a longer and stronger shock to put under it. Any ideas? |

Re: A few Club Car Precedent Questions
Do you WANT or NEED longer shocks? Just because you have a 6" lift kit does not mean that you get another 6" of wheel travel; wheel clearance yes ~ wheel travel maybe... This all depends on how the kit is designed to work. Many lift kits also don't change the location of the shocks so stock length works just fine. You say stronger do you mean you want to add a coil over shock? Just know that a coil over shock added to your existing leaf spring system will equate to a rougher ride.

Re: A few Club Car Precedent Questions
Speaking of shocks. Why does Club Car mount the rear shocks upside down?

Re: A few Club Car Precedent Questions
All the other shocks I've seen (I haven't seen them all) have the rod on the lower side. This way when the rod gets dirty the wiper cleans it and the dirt falls to the ground. CC mounts them with the cylinder side down. When they get wiped the dirt falls on top of the cylinder were it can build up and cause trouble.
