Trying to figure out speed used precedent
OK so I've been reading a lot on here trying to determine what was done to my cart before I bought it. Well I originally thought I had speed code 4 but how could I tell if it's code 4 or magnets or something else??
My cart is an 06 precedent stock and has original tires and two year old batteries I'm hitting 17-18 mph flat I can gain a few mph with slight down hill. My regen braking seems to be almost non existent. Thanks |

Re: Trying to figure out speed used precedent
If it got speed code 4 it will have an additional sticker inside the glove box area with the codes required for code 4.

If there's zero motor braking going downhill it's probably got a high speed magnet in it.

I haven't seen a sticker other then the serial number one. It will pick up speed going down hill. Which would be better code 4 or high speed magnets? New to golf carts

Re: Trying to figure out speed used precedent
What's the turn around on one? Do you send your old motor the rewind or whatever they do lol and then send it back? Or do you send them your core and they send you one that's already done?
Lastly are these speed magnets that I have going to cause any I'll effects? |

Re: Trying to figure out speed used precedent
No. I prefer the speed magnet over the high speed code. The speed code is gonna keep you from going faster than 19.6mph but the magnet won't. All high speed motors for the IQ system use a high speed magnet. That's how they keep the controller from slowing the cart down.
