Default Wrap?

I see a few mentions of doing a wrap on a cart, I'm curious if anyone has tried this chrome wrap on a cart. I'm rebuilding the villager/tourall I picked up for 300 bucks last year. I was going to paint it with my son's school colors and put some stickers on it. This looks way cooler and could be potentially less expensive.

if it is a "Air Release" material it is "easier" to install,...if you have convex or concave surfaces then it can get tricky

in a nutshell,....A 3M 180C is a Controltac with air release, and is made for vehicle wraps, other materials are designed more for flat surfaces

I owned a sign and graphic company for 25 years. Our specialty was vinyl graphics. Graphicman is absolutely correct in all aspects. The "chrome" material is made of mylar which does NOT lend itself to stretching, particularly around contours and curves. In addition, you can scratch it with your fingernail or by wiping it with a paper towel. If you knew nothing about it, now you do. Do yourself a favor and avoid it for this application...

ah,...the good old mylar days,....i have been in this business for 26 years and also a business owner,. sounds like we got started around the same time,....back when we brushed everything, and a sprint cutter was king of the hill and a edge was a full color printer

That's interesting. I have been reading a hot rodders forum where they are using it to chrome their bumpers. Most accounts say it is almost indistinguishable from chrome and about as durable as auto paint.

Perhaps this is a different product? I don't know and that is why I asked for feedback, I don't want something that is a total failure. It only lasting 3-4 years is OK though.

I thought the carbon fiber looked cool too.

If I do anything, I'll just order a sample piece of materiel and play with it to see first hand. If I do go this route, I'll journal it here.
