Upgrading Controller What Else to Upgrade
I just recently bought a 97 EZGO TXT with a lift and a speed motor. It needed a new controller and went up to the Alltrax AXE 4855. After getting this mounted and getting the new sulinoid mounted onto it, I was wondering what wires I should be looking to replace on the cart.
It is currently a 36V but when I replace the batteries, I am considering going up to a 48V. The sulinoid is both 36 and 48, so I should be good there, but I read a lot about replacing the wires with heavier gauge. Can someone let me know what wires I should be looking to upgrade? There are a lot of wires, and for someone new to this, I am a little overwhelmed with what wires I should be looking to replace so they don't get too hot. Thank You |

Re: Upgrading Controller What Else to Upgrade
Yours is a series cart. The system has 13 high amperage cables. The amperage to the motor goes through all the cables and the F&R. All of the cables need to be upgraded and the F&R switch.

To the OP, since you are considering going to 48v, get one of scottyb's 2ga cable sets for 48v, they are a tad longer and you will be set once you upgrade. It's exactly what I did. I am still at 36v, but when it is time, I sm already set up. The Master of All Things has Spoken |

ScottyB: was looking at your site and found Kit #2, 2 gauge. Will that be everything I need?
Thanks |
