Default RowPoy Lithium Battery 48V 160Ah S51160

So after a month of back and forth I made the jump yesterday on the RowPoy S51160. I have a stetched Club Car Precedent (2014) with Crown 165 batteries that I bought new in September 2019 that I have been happy with but honestly want more range. I have a Precedent Level 4 Upgrade Kit with Alltrax XCT500 controller and FSIP 221-48VSPEEDCC High Speed Motor from Revolution Golf Cars (David is awesome there!). Our golf cart is like a second vehicle for us due to where we live and friends and family love going on rides so I started looking at options for more distance/range. I almost bought 5 30Ah Allied batteries but was unable to find any real world reviews and then landed on RowPoy which seems to be more prevalent. So I contacted Troy over at One Eleven Custom Carts in Summerville SC (bought my cart from them) to see if he had any after not being able to find any locally. To my luck he did!. We talked a while about them and he had nothing but good things to say about lithium batteries and what he's been able to do with them. So I made a trip yesterday to their shop and picked up the 160Ah (bracket also) from them and a Summit Series II charger that he already had programmed for lithium charging. I plan to install the battery tonight and will follow up with you guys on the results! My biggest thing is RANGE! I want to be able to ride all day and not worry about getting stuck! If you guys have any questions please feel free to ask and I'll let you know!

Do you know what voltage your Summit Series II charger charges to? I have one that I want to convert to Lithium.

From the app it says bulk charge to 56 at 3.5vpc (profile 22226)

it does not list and absorption or float data, so possibly just cuts off there. Which would be good. Was just looking at this yesterday.

That's 4.00V per cell for 14S. A bit low for my batteries. I normally charge to 4.1V per cell which would be 57.4Volts. My lithium charger came set to 4.2V per cell which is 100% for my Leaf cells but I dialed it down to 57.4V. I would like to use my Summit charger with my second Lithium cart but I need to get a charge profile that matches my Leaf cell needs. I don't think they support that.

I was specifically searching for lifepo4, they did have another lithium category, I just didn’t look into it. For 16s lifepo4, 3.45-3.5 is goot.

Yes. And I think they are only supporting that chemistry.

Apparently I have been told all this lithium stuff is experimental and I could possibly blow up and fly to the moon but as of now Ill take that chance. Drove my cart 10 miles yesterday with ROYPOW 105 ah 48 v battery and not even a tick off the battery meter. No heat issues. Using an Alltrax 500 amp controller with SW202 HD F/R! Also Admiral mot 1 I think its called. She scoots and if she blows fire Ill see you guys on the moon LOL! Safe carting

It's past the experimental stage....it's here to stay. If someone told you that recently, they are way behind the times.

I'm so happy with my 105ah, I don't think I could have handled the elation of the 160ah! Thank goodness it wasn't out then. I'll will get it next time (if I ever need another battery pack).
