Default Yamaha G22E need more speed

I have a Yamaha G22E Electric 2004. Does anyone know a way a handy person can increase the speed form 15MPH by themselves?

If your getting 15 mph now, some one must have "adjusted" the "regen settings" in the controller. (unless you have bigger tires and rims). You might try to "unplug" the motor sensor lead that comes out of the end of the motor and plugs into the main wire harness. This will stop regen, but you will also lose anti runaway feature. The other course of action is a "high speed" motor. Depending on your year and controller #, it could be as easy as replacing the motor (just a few bolts and motor wiring) to having to upgrade the controller for a higher amprage rating. Please thell us what your car is used for/what you want it to do and the serial# of the car and the model and serial# off the controller. Good luck Dave
