Default Yamaha G1 Start circuitry troubleshooting

The cart acts as it would without a battery, not even a relay click when the pedal is pushed.
Battery is good, connections cleaned, fuses inspected and the red w/ white lead has voltage at the pedal switch. The ignition/reverse switch has been replaced. It was the original and had gotten iffy before the current problem.

I am thinking that a connection has gone open maybe at one of the connectors to the pedal or main switch. There is no relay click in forward or reverse, if that helps your thinking. I will try disconnecting, cleaning and replugging the in line connectors and testing for voltage at the small black relay which I think switches current to the two main solenoids.
I am well over 70 and have kept up all my vehicles for a life time but I have rarely found a more elusive electrical problem. Any suggestions or reports from experience will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
