Replaced the mcor and the major hesitation is gone but the cart still only goes about 5 miles per hour floored. Is that the speed sensor? We replaced the lights toggle switch and now the lights work again so that's a relief. How would we check the speed sensor? With the 2007, if we have to replace it, do we put it up on ramps? Is that the easiest way to get at the motor? Sorry for all the questions, we're new at this.

When the speed sensor fails, it goes into Limp Mode like you describe. You can check it by pushing the car manually and checking to see if the motor braking and reverse buzzer engage while it's rolling. Detailed tests are described in the "sticky" thread at the top of the electric club car page referring to speed sensor testing.

There's a pigtail coming out from the side of the motor, it's three wires and a triangle plug. If it's unplugged or loose connection it will drop your cart speed down to around 8 MPH. The speed sensor is attached to that three wire plug on the side of your motor. Does your speed sensor look sort of like a black top hat or is it more flush with the motor? See examples:

We'll check out both of these things and let you know. It still hesitates when we go up any kind of incline. Does that point to anything else?
