Re: Lateral movement in throttle pedal
I have been labeled a lot of things, redneck, hick, pessimist, smarta^&, loser, knob, dinglenuts, maudit anglais, and a LOT more that they won't let me print here but nerd is a new one. But c'mon, The Search for the Holy Grail is **** funny, especially with a couple of brews! Using a dead cow as "ammo" priceless!

Re: Lateral movement in throttle pedal
Been my favorite comedy movie since the 70's.
Doesn't get any better, but if you're not over 40 years old, you've probably never seen it. All of the Python movies are great. I quote at least one of the movies on a daily basis...mostly Holy Grail. |

Re: Lateral movement in throttle pedal
Ok, parts on the way for the accelerator pedal thanks to TahoeDawg! Now for the second half. Since I gutted everything to do the solid state conversion, does anyone know of an easy way to get SLOW reverse back? Wife hates full speed reverse now so I imagine with the Rattlesnake she will really be unhapppy. Heaven forbid she just not jam the pedal down all the way!

Re: Lateral movement in throttle pedal
What is the model of the Controller and how many micro-switches do you have in the FNR?

Re: Lateral movement in throttle pedal
The controller is a GE FSIP 500amp and the FNR came from ScottyB. I'm at work right now and cannot remember how many micros are on it.

Re: Lateral movement in throttle pedal
If your FNR has a "lobe" on the cam that only engages a micro-switch when the FNR is on reverse, then you can wire a 5.1kΩ x 1/2 watt resistor as shown on micro-switch #3 on the diagram below:

Re: Lateral movement in throttle pedal
I sure did, (Golf Cart King). And thanks for the diagram Sergio, I still need to look and see if my HD FNR has the reverse lobe and MS.

Re: Lateral movement in throttle pedal
Ok, so I got the motor installed no problem, and got the pedal slop fixed, again no problem. I don't know if I'll be able to give my wife 1/2 speed reverse though. On the HD FNR I got from Scotty there is only 1 micro. It has two spade terminals, neither of which are hooked up to anything. The micro engages in both forward and reverse. All of that being said, I cannot follow Sergio's wiring schematic given the setup I have. I am open to try anything, I just don't want to screw anything up since it runs so sweet now.
