Re: Power
I think what Tahoe is recommending is the ultimate solution , to get a converter so all
batteries are drawn down even , and thus less likely hood of wearing 1 battery out early. The converters (depending on amp rating) allows you to connect several or all your extra toys to one device . |

Re: Power
It definitely will... The lights are not as much of a factor because they're only on when you turn them on. The memory wire is hot from the time you hook it up until the time you pull out the battery because it's shot. I've seen it hundreds of times with the same result every time. Your only other option is to put a switch on the memory wire and turn it off when not in use. The down side to that is that you'll have to reprogram your clock, station presets, and graphic EQ settings every time.

Re: Power
That would be a little aggravating.
shatteredglass just so U know there is a continuous draw on the batteries from the converter, but it is minimal as long as you have everything turned off (and I don't mean just the ignition switch) So if you are storing it for the winter or a long period of time , just disconnect the ground on the converter . |

Re: Power
Thanks was going to askk about the memory wire not being hooked up but i see your point it draws it down if left hooked up and then have to reprogram it every time that would suck

Re: Power
Exactly. The continuous draw isn't a problem. It's the fact that it's a continuous draw from only one battery that gets ya.
