If you go with a 500 amp controller, you will need to upgrade your cables and solenoid. I talked to the guys at Plum Quick. They told me that I can get more speed and torque by sending them my motor. They would redo it into the Bandit series and I could still use stock controller and solenoid. I would need 4 gauge battery cables. For $225.00 plus shipping for a new redone motor, thats not bad considering the cost of a controller and solenoid.

The family at PQ know what they are talking about , but. why would you get a motor rewound and not feed it more amperage...!? Amperage is what motors eat more amps = more power.... I'm saying it's a waste of a good motor to run it on 250 amp controllers... kinda like feeding a Hemi through a cocktail straw Okay, whatever

Hi GCS13,thanks for reply. If I used PQ it would cost me a fortune for shipping as I live in Australia,Randy at speedylink told me if his did not make any difference to my cart it would cost an arm and leg, shipping it back.

I posted that not thing about where you are located. I sent my motor to Plum Quick to get reworked. It supposed to be back this week, I can't hardly wait. But I did upgrade to a 500 amp Alltrax controller, 400 amp continuous solenoid, and 2 gauge cables. I didn't want to starve my new Bandit, I want to feed it all the amps I can.
