2002 cc ds acceleration problem
I have searched page after page to find an answer to my question before I posted one up and havent been successful. I have a 2002 CC DS 48v electric cart. Just put new batteries on it. Fully charged rest at 52.6 volts currently. Have load tested all batteries and all batteries dont even have a slight drop when put under load. Mash the accelerator and cart goes fine, it gets up to speed and power drops out. Let off the accelerator and you hear the relay click after a couple seconds, then you can mash the accelerator again and it pics up speed again. Then of coarse cuts out again after several seconds. It does this in forward and reverse and it has the f/r rocker switch and a 3.5hp motor. Any advice would be much appreciated. Hope this was enough info. Thanks a lot in advance.

Re: 2002 cc ds acceleration problem
Its possible that the speed sensor on end of your IQ motor may be defective? TAHOE DAWG recomended to another owner to leave cart in ( run position ) and while rolling cart by hand see if it tries to slow or stop, and if so sensor could be bad?

Re: 2002 cc ds acceleration problem
From what TAHOE DAWG said sounds like speed sensor is defective, but I would confirm with Tahoe Dawg first.

Re: 2002 cc ds acceleration problem
Gleemo, I got it to open, but it was for a 2008 club car. Mine in a 2002 CC DS is it all still pretty much the same? Thanks

Re: 2002 cc ds acceleration problem
If the wiring diagram for the cart matches yours , probably.
Here is the way I would look at it , If U do the test and it passes it is for your cart (right). and the sensor is OK If U do the test and it fails , then we have 2 possibilities 1. Wrong test for what U have . 2. Correct test for yours , and the sensor is bad and it confirms TAHOE DAWG's quick test. So long story short , it could prove part is OK or just add to the suspicion that it is defective. |

Re: 2002 cc ds acceleration problem
Ok Gleemo..... I'm an idiot. I told you my cart was a 2002 model. I don't know where I got that from unless I just happened to notice the test date on the obc was 2002. So obviously it has been changed at some point. Ok here is the real deal. Sorry.... It is a 1998 club car DS . The motor is a 3.2 hp motor and the controller is a 220 amp controller. The controller has a test date of 2002. It does have the rocker f/r toggle switch. If you put the cart in run position and push the cart it does try to stop the cart after about 2-3 feet. The battery voltage is good even under load. I tried resetting the obc and it would never reset which may also be cuz I told you the wrong year and those proceedures might not work for that year model. I have sent topdawg a couple pm and he has not responded to me. Thanks for all your help and sorry I sent you down the wrong path to begin with.
