Re: Batteries over-charging? Confused.
Is U let batteries go dry and just happened to hear the bubbling (which is normal) and panicked
The good news is U caught them before they went completely dry and added distilled water to 1/4" - 1/2" inch over plates ? |

Re: Batteries over-charging? Confused.
Just shut off--not quite 3 hours.
I feel dumb, but it's not the first time, and I don't have to shell out any money right now for the CC. Thanks for the help! |

Oh, but wait--after at least a couple minutes of being off, it turned back on to 5 amps.
Still normal? |

Re: Batteries over-charging? Confused.
I dunno, not exactly, but let it go 12 hours ~ I knew 3 was too short.
You may have a OBC going out? |

Re: Batteries over-charging? Confused.
Yes that is OK it is desulfating and probably happened as a result of resetting OBC.
Don't panic YET |

Re: Batteries over-charging? Confused.
OK--sorry, I've been out all day. It did shut off last night between 11 and 12, so after 10 hours or so. I didn't have time to drive it today, but I did plug it back in to see what happened. The charger kicked on, tapered down, and shut off within minutes--seemed just like normal.
I'll drive it tomorrow and make sure everything still looks good when I recharge it. Thanks again to everyone for the help! |
