Default Wiring DPI 5 stage charger for EZ GO RXV

I purchased a DPI 5 stage charger so I could keep a maintance charge on cart when not in use for several days.

Going to take plug off EZ GO charger and put on DPI charger.
Cart if 48V.

RXV charger has 3 wires - black, white & green. DPI charger only 3 wires - black & white.

Is the green wire a ground or for the ignition safery interlock? Want to wire this correct the first time.

Thanks for any suggestions how to wire this correctly.

ANY help? Also, just realized a typo. Post says DPI charger has 3 wires - black & white. Obviously wrong........has only the 2 wires.

The third wire is battery sense for the charger. It is connected to B- when plugged into cart's charge receptacle. (Has to sense above a predetermined voltage before charger will initiate a charge cycle)

Battery sensing is done inside the DPI charger, so the output cable only has two wires.

Just connect the Black and White wires in the DPI cable to the same pins that the original black and white wires were attached and leave third pin, where the green wire was attached, blank.

That should do the trick.

Will the cart's ignition safety lock out still function?

I have taken the wire from the EZ Go and attached to the DPI charger. The DPI charger has 12 gauge wire and the EZGo charger has 14 gauge. Think this would create an issue using the 14 gauge wire on the DPI charger?

Also, on the green wire, I have taped the end inside the charger box. I left the plug end in place. Should I remove this too?
