Re: mounting a fold windshield
WARNING WARNING WARNING!!
I went through this myself. It is impossible to slide the windshield into the holders if already mounted to roof supports. You MUST place shield in both brackets and put the entire piece on at one time. This is the only way to get it in - as well as the correct way. To make it easier loosen the bolts holding your roof support before installing to give a little extra room, then tighten back up once installed. |

Re: mounting a fold windshield
yes I tried to do it per the instructions by doing it one whole piece, but that didnt work. they removed the spacers when they added the roof support, so thats why mine does not fit.

Re: mounting a fold windshield
I think I see. The spacers your talking about are the ones where the roof supports bolt onto the frame/body? If so you can find various size bushings at Lowe's, Tractor Supply, Home Depot, etc. They are located in the nut and bolt area in the specialty drawers.

Re: mounting a fold windshield
Definitely get the spacers to allow the windshield to float in the brackets. There is a small amount of twisting which occurs during rides on uneven terrain and the windshield slides back and forth in the brackets. If you drill holes, there is no give and the windshield will crack.

Re: mounting a fold windshield
spacers did the trick, they just took them off when they painted the body. New wind shield looks great, and the boss lady is happy. thanks for the help!

Re: mounting a fold windshield
Now on to the alignment... It looks pretty jacked in your profile pic. Your gonna tear those treads up too quick..
Just a heads up Been there. Done that. |

Re: mounting a fold windshield
Thanks for the input, that is a pic when I bought it, when I had batteries installed a few weeks ago, I had them do that! I didn't want to tear that up.
