Re: Cart Runs Slow
So I was able to verify the voltages. 49.7v sitting still. When the throttle is fully depressed it drops to 45.5v and recovers when 11mph is achieved to about 47.5v.
Does this sound about right? |

Re: Cart Runs Slow
Now you are providing useful information. There are a number of forum members that can help you. I am no expert but it sounds a little low for a 48 volt system.

Re: Cart Runs Slow
At the top of these forums there is a search option at the top of the page. There is a battery voltage chart on one of the post. Click on Enter and enter the search name "48 volt battery charger fault" in the drop down. You will find information you are looking for. Note; SoC means state of charge, a voltage measured to indicate if the batteries are charged to full capacity. You might have a weak battery or batteries of a weak charger. There is not many problems with golf carts that haven't been discussed on this forum.

Re: Cart Runs Slow
How fast did it used to run? Does your charger have an amp meter on it? Does it charge properly and what is the voltage of the battery bank when it completes the charge cycle? After charging completes let it sit overnight and check the terminal voltage again. Have you kept the batteries maintained? Are the posts clean? You could have a battery problem, corroded connection or a charger problem. According to other information posted by users on this forum your voltage is a little low. Have you checked the electrolyte in the cells?
