Default Cart wont move and no backup buzzer

Hi everyone I have a 06 pds battery voltage is a little over 38 volts. I was hauling it home on a trailer, when I tried to unload it the cart was dead. I plugged the charger and it wouldn't take a charge. After testing the battery voltage most of my batteries were almost dead. I charged them separately then the ezgo charger was able to complete the charge. When I traveling I forgot to put it in tow mode and it was rolling a little on the trailer. With fully charged batteries the cart still wont move and the back up buzzer wont work. If the speed controller got fried would that stop the buzzer from working? When I took the cover off to look at the speed controller I could tell by the smell something got hot. Can you test the buzzer by running some jumper wires to a battery? Sorry about the length just trying to give all of the details.
Thanks

The sniff test is never wrong. Sorry to hear this but it is an opportune time to upgrade to 35% more torque and speeds up to 25mph. Check out pkg 808 here > Speed control packages

Check for FULL battery pack voltage on J1 Pin-4 and Pin-5.
If either of those are missing, the controller won't do anything.

Like Scotty said, the bad smell is a bad sign.

Do you check the voltage on the speed controller pin or on the wire side?

Push test probe into the backside of the plug while plug is installed.

Both pins have full voltage do you still think it is the speed controller?

I put on a rebuilt controller flipped the tow switch to run and I heard a noise from the controller box and I think it fried the controller again. The reverse buzzer is working now, any ideas on what would fry a controller just by switching to run? I can't afford many more controllers.

I am having trouble posting pictures. I took a picture before I started and it is wired the same way I didn't unhook anything except for the speed controller. I started the diagnostic mode and all I got was 4 beeps for the freedom chip.
