Hey Guys, doing a rehab of an old 1999 TXT, and was looking at seat options. I really would like seats with side and center bolsters, and only Suite Seats appear to provide the "bucket" type bolsters. They don't have rear matching seats that I can find though. Anybody ever DIY bolsters into their covers?

I have done three Yamaha's in the last 8 months or so. Old beat up maintenance carts. Fixed them all up, re-paint etc. My favorite part was doing the seats. As you see from the before picture, they were pretty rough. Used Up-2-Par for all three sets. great company to deal with. Very reasonable and good quality. I also have a forth set of covers I got from them and used a special order color. Have not finished that cart yet.

Looking for something like these. I am guessing they were custom upholstered...may end up having to go that way.

Any good upholstery shop could do that for you. It's not nearly as difficult as you might think. It just requires taking the basic seat foam and gluing additional foam on top for the bolsters. Bolsters are then shaped to round off the corners and edges. The vinyl covering the bolsters is cut a few inches longer and wider for the center section as well as the boxing on the ends. The sewing process is the same as a non-bolstered seat.
I use sailrite.com for my supplies, for personal use. I'm not a professional. Great selection and good prices for quality fabrics.
