Hey guys I am wiring it back up and was wondering what gauge wire I should be using. I used 4 gauge for the batteries, but the speed controller and switch’s use lighter gauges. I don’t know if the previous owner rewired it but most of the wire is he thicker strand wire. Some of it seems to be rated as house type wire. Should I be using the finer strand stuff like automotive wire, or more of the thicker strand stuff, or does it not matter. The 4 gauge I got is welding wire, and many fine strands. I am still using the solenoids and original speed controller for now. If anybody has a list of what gauge all the wiring should be that would be greatly appreciated.

The 4 gauge welding wire you are using for the batteries is perfect. As for the smaller wires, use 16 gauge automotive stranded wire.

Well I still have some finishing touches to add but she is up and running. Now how do I make it faster and more powerful. It does well on level ground, but the Hills leave a lot to be desired.
