Sourcing Gas Tank
I just undertook Project Shitbox, a 1986 Gas EZGO rebuild.
I've been trying to source a replacement gas tank with no success. The places I've called are telling me they have been manufactured in 20 years. Any places you all recommend to source them? Or another good option that can be modified to work? |

Re: Sourcing Gas Tank
I did a search and the earliest I found was a 94, It gives the measurements but don't know if it fits. What's wrong with the one on your 'project shitbox'? ....
I love the old Ezgo's, be careful calling it names cuz it'll gain an attitude |

Re: Sourcing Gas Tank
Craigslist or facebook would be a good start. I sold one for like 40 bucks I think a while back from an 89.
You could try posting an ad in the sale section here. Someone may have one sitting around. |

Re: Sourcing Gas Tank
I just bumped Ribs source for fuel tanks. It is in the sticky section of gas HD's. If I needed one that is where I would go.

I purchased the following parts to replace my tank. Found an old post by misterpowertools in another section of the forum. Hope this helps someone in the future!

Re: Sourcing Gas Tank
NEMESIS9 Not sure why your posting that no one helped you with finding a tank for your cart at . 2 hours after you started this thread raydhd told you where to find a tank for your cart at US Plastic. I'm guessing you didn't come back and read your thread after you posted it.

There's a ton of information out there on these carts, people have been working on them for decades. It's just not organized very well. The forum software itself is 2 major versions behind and the segmentation is a bit awkward at best. Let's move on. |

Re: Sourcing Gas Tank
Update on the gas tank. Finally putting the cart back together and have the tank in. Attached the tank mount on the bottom to the frame, then made some cross braces. Sitting in there very well. Pictures below.
