how do you check the Coil, Igniter, and the RPM Limiter on a 1992?

Title say is all i think,

OK maybe i should say why i need to check it.

When i turn the key, and push on the gas, it turns over and that's it.

I dumped all the gas , and replaced it.

I was getting a good spark, now im not.

There is air coming out of the carb and the exaust pipe as it turns over.

disconnect the brown wire on rev limiter bolt (ground) that will check limiter.
you will have to swap out the ignitor to test it. If neither one of them does it, its the coil.

guys i know he said he nneds to check the igniter, and the coil and the limiter, but he alsosaid he has air coming out the intake and the exhaulst, which would also aim to a stuck valve. we know he has good clean fuel. i wold assume the governor is ok, and either the exciter or the coil is at fault, but if it aint suckin in the intake, i would look at the valves being left open by some carbon. unless i just didnt readthat right, or reading into it.

Sorta agree should not have blow back into the carb, air in the carb , out the exhaust.

However the statement which is unclear is
was getting a good spark, now im not.
What did you change which caused U to loose spark .
Got to be a missing change here , please explain when U had spark and when U lost it.

did you mess with any grounds for the engine? the one from the valve cover area to the frame, this is the engine ground. the ground for the electric governor is ok, if you unscrew it and tpare it or zip tie it out of way so not to reground out and cause issues.

hey wait i havent had a chance to get on her in aroond a week, he started on the 28, todays the 7th, crap maybe he doesnt lik short buses! i think i will find a new picture so i dont scare him or any others away!

If air is being pushed out the carb, maybe he was mesin with the starter generator, hooked some wires up wrong, now motor is sping wrong direction causing his no spark issue.......don't laugh, I fixed one like that.
