Hello! I'm in Great Bridge. Thanks for your feedback. It seems to be in solid shape. Yes, it will need tires, cleaning, and a paint job. I'm sure it will need more that I will find as I go through it. Problem is I don't want to order parts until I figure what year and model it actually is. I starting to the the XL stands for Xperimental

I kinda wish it was a 4-cycle Briggs. This 2-stroke seems to run well though. I still need to take the head off to see how much cylinder wear I'm dealing with. I haven't done a compression test yet.

I just got an email from John with EV Tech Services. He "checked with ParCar at the plant and that VIN doesn’t fit anything we have used. We are wondering if it was a prototype or something odd like that. Looks like an early 80s vehicle to me"

Thank you John for taking the time to look into this for us.

Now to figure how to buy parts for the oddball....

Wow, if the factory doesn't know what it is, it makes this mystery interesting. I'll bet some of the old timers there know what it is.

It is an '89 - '92. My folks had a '90 and that's the same cart.

Those motors are great. I have two '85s and a not yet running '84. Those are the same motors as what you have. Parts are plentiful and they pretty are pretty easy to work on.
