Default throttle sensor

i have a g16e with goofy throttle issues and im trying to track down the problem without just throwing parts at it .. can someone tell me what wires do what on the throttle sensor and what the parameters are ... i tryed to ask the question a few weeks back but didn't get much response .. i just dont want to throw a 500 dollar controller in it if that isnt the problem .

G16e has notorious controller problems in my experience, but, you have not described the "throttle problems yet. Could also be crappy F&R (stock g16 f&r is a big "weak link").

Throttle should be 0-1k ohms, with a white, blue, and green wire. you can try all three possible combos with your ohm meter (white to blue, white to green and blue to green), and this should be your results, in no particular order.

1- 1k ohm any throttle position
2- near 0 ohms, increasing to about 1k ohms as throttle is pressed.
3- near 1k ohms, decreasing to near 0 ohms as throttle is pressed.

All "sweeps" should be smooth, no "jumpyness".

what it seems to be doing is that ... it seems more often when humid , is that is soon as i push the pedal it goes right to about 1/3 throttle , forward and reverse .it doesn't do it all the time but seems more often when damp out . i does it as soon as the soleniod clicks . when you hear the click hold on because it launches fwr and rev . if i disconnect the throttle sensor it wont move at all ... if you need any more info just ask .. i haven't been able to get it up to the garage to test the sensor yet because its been so wet out it would get stuck.

well i got it up to the garage to finally work on it .. if i disconnect the throttle sensor and install a potentiometer ( like a volume control ) it gets up to full throttle with only about an 1/8 th of a turn on the potentiometer ..but its intermittent .. sometimes i have to turn the potentiometer all the way up to get full throttle ... i have no problem replacing the speed control if im %100 sure that will fix it ..i dont have alot of money to throw parts at it till i get it right ..it does it in rev and fwr ... please help ( my father in-law wants his cart back )...thanx
