Default The maiden voyage.....

Today was the big day! It was cart driver's ed at Mom's house. This is the "real" reason that all of this cart craziness started in the first place. What a blessing this cart is for her!!! She will have freedom that she has not had in a long time.

Here she is all loaded up with tools and such, ready to conquer the gardening world.

And...she's off to my house....

Dueling Harleys......

Here she is right before she hit the fence.....brake on the left...gas on the right, Mom!!! Her and the cart were none the worse for the wear and the fence survived as well.

And safe and sound back at her house.

Really made me feel good to see her smile and have a really big time on the cart today. Now if we can just keep her off the fences.....

Fences are easy to fix and a reason to laugh as long as mom
is ok.

Thanks guys! I went down there a little while ago and put it in the shed for her and got it charging. She was on cloud 9 and went on and on about all the things that she had done and how she hauled some dirt and how she went to the mail box on it and on and on. It was really cool.

She has always been independent....very independent. My Dad died when I was 14 and she made a way for us and did things than any man would be amazed by. She is quite a woman. Not being able to see very well resulted in her having to stop driving. Not being able to drive and not getting around very well has really gotten her down over the past few years. This is a true blessing from God! I have not seen her like this in a very, very long time. You can not imagine what this mobility means to her and if I gotta fix a fence here and there, I'll count that as worth it.

Terry thats fantastic what U done.
I retired early to look after Mum when she had stroke,I made a 20 yard walking frame which got her back upright and when I bought home the mobility cart the look on her face ,could never be beaten .You only have one and I was paying back all the headaches I gave her.
your ACE in my books.
