Default Value of 1989 G2.

I came across a 1989 G2 for sale recently. This cart is in really good condition (a personal cart, not golf course) for it's age and I'm interested in buying it. The asking price was $1500 and we are now down to $1250. I'm looking for opinions to see if this price for a 1989 G2 seems reasonable. It will need a new drive belt (now at 1") and some regular maintenance (oils & filter changed, clutches cleaned & lubed, carb. cleaned, etc.) and of course some performance tweaking . Thanks in advance for any input. RAY

A compression check would probably tell you whether it was worth investing in.

Stik, what Scotty said, then just seat of the pants feel how it drives. $1100. would be a steal!! Just that dang rev. limiter!!

The guy (a dealer) originally told me it was a 94 - G9, but checked SN and found it to be an 89 - G2. I may go back and work that issue a little along with the compression check. I have no experience with the rev. limiters, so may just have to settle for whatever I can get plus clutch tweaks if I decide to "go for it". Thanks for the input !! RAY
