Hit a tree now no spark, g1
I was driving my g1 around my back yard and slid on a bunch of leaves going about 5 mph.. I slid and hit a tree dead on, right on the front crossbar thing(it has no bumper)no visable damage to the cart or tree except it knocked the battery out from the holddowns. Now it has no spark, doesnt spin over, nothing.. Ive checked some connections and everything looks ok. Fuses are ok. I have a voltmeter and a powerprobe.
Any idea on what could have happened? Where to start? Thanks ahead of time |

Check the connections on the switch under the gas pedal. Under the cart. 4-wires.

Red/w has 12v. Black ground. White ground. Black/w has nothing. Key in fwrd, gas pedal down.

When you press the pedal, 12v should go from R/W to the white wire.
The switch under the pedal is actually 2 switches. W and R/W(starter circuit) is closed when pedal is pressed, and vice-versa. B/W and B(ignition circuit) is open when pedal is pressed and vice-versa. |

Is the pedal linkage actuating the switch button?

Re: Hit a tree now no spark, g1
Did you unhook the wire connections and check the resistance of the two sets of contacts. I would guess that since you hit a tree, the switch is just out of adjustment now. You should hear it click when you press it and release it.
