Default Yamaha G1E Solenoid Replacement

Hello, all.

I have an 81 Yamaha G1-E, #J14-000247. I have cleaned it up, replaced all of the worn cables (one by one, from photos) and tested and replaced as needed the batteries. She goes in reverse, but only gives a click when attempting forward. I suspect that I have a faulty solenoid (the one forwardmost of the two in the cart). It is a 6 post/36v solenoid, with 4 larger posts and 2 smaller ones. I believe it to be original. Can someone guide me to a suitable replacement? If I replace one, do I need to replace the other (currently working) one so that they "match?" Can a 4 terminal be used instead of a 6? If so, how? Thanks!!

Okay... so... after much research, some here, some elsewhere...

I have figured out that they don't make these anymore. There are a handful of NOS out there, but they cost anywhere from $300-$500. Best I can figure, it looks like White-Rodgers p/n 124317111 is the way to go. FYI, the best price that I found was on eBay ($33 w/ free shipping!)

I'm going to have to figure out how to wire it (unless someone here has and can help me out??) as the original had all 6 posts on top and this replacement has 2 on one end and 4 on the other. I'll take some pictures and post again when I've got it working, hopefully to be of some assistance to someone else in my situation someday.

I may have an OEM solenoid, I can check tommarrow if you'd like.
