For the 23hp Vanguard info you'll need to go to the "Big Block" section not the "clone" section.

I have the 16hp Vanguard, love it. Mine is stock right now, soon to be revved and degoverend. I've heard they can get very mean and nasty with the cam and 2 barrel carb.

The 16 can't get mean and nasty, but the 17 and up can. Sorry slo, you missed it by that much!!!

Tim and Jeannie, Congrats on your G8! We have lots of guys on the G8 club who build big blocks that can give you pointers. We all would be watching the build closely, as you would be the first to remove the stock motor and big block it!! Us G8 guys are all still running our stock motors. Just can't kill them!!!

Thank you guys for all the info and the nice welcome. We would like to get into the club to that would be fun to get with guys and gals that like the g8s, we just bout traded it off after spending 200 on a guy to put a head gasket in it and then it only lasted about 4 hours and blew out agin. so made a excutive desion and bout the big motor instead. so thanks agin for the help and I will be looking at the big block section and looking for the g8 club.
