Default 1995 carryall1 wont start after engine rebuild

I have a 1995 Carryall 1 with a FE290 CCW. I received it as a basket case. I rebuilt the motor them installed it and now I have no spark. There are two wires coming off of the rpm limiter but I do not know where to plug them in. Any guidance would be appreciated.

One goes to the white/black lead to ground, the other goes to the ignitor.

My question was not clear. Based on the above posted diagram, where do the 2 ends of part 22 get plugged in? My cart has no wires in this area. My motor is a rebuild. Is it possible that it has wiring my cart was not designed for?

Does anybody know the answer to my question above about the 2 ends of the wire labeled 22?

I have a 98 carryall VI, Key Start... Not sure if it's like yours or not.. On mine one end goes to the coil and if I remember correctly the other one goes to the ignition switch.. Im not 100% sure , I know that's the kill switch circuit...Ill see if I could find it in the book...

It doesn't show in the book very well Ant... don't bother!

Meimk has mentioned this in a number of other threads recently,
and I didn't really realize what he was talking about until I physically traced it down on my cart, just 10 minutes ago!
(meimk? )

Technically, if your looking at the wiring harness #22... there are 3 ends...
  • The spade plug connects to the coil,
  • The double wire female bullet plug connects to the male limiter/ignitor bullet connector right by the oil fill tube,
  • The single female bullet connector (shown not connected to anything) connects to a white w/black stripe wire
coming from the wire loom back by the starter/generator, which in turn, ties to the bottom microswitch in the electrical components box.

But if anything... not having that wire hooked up? you should have spark... just no way to shut the engine down! (because it IS... the engine "kill circuit'!)
I'm thinking your "no spark" scenario just might be a different situation! (unless you have a bad ignitor, limiter, or coil)

Thanks. I will check it out this weekend. Haven't had time to look at it this week.
