Default Starter getting to hot

My starter generator on 98 cc keeps burning up I am on my 3 now I have checked grounds and replaced vr

First two were OEM one was the original they get so hot they will burn your hand hotter than exhaust the last one was one off eBay and lasted 5 days

Have you checked your battery voltage while the engine is running? If it's overcharging, it can definitely contribute to excessive heat in the starter / generator. You may need a voltage regulator, which is a much cheaper part than the starter / generator.

Put new vr on with last starter had 14.5 volts at full throttle

15.3v is the nominal charging voltage!
I never checked mine to see how warm it got after a good cruise.

I am going to double check all of my wires and my grounds this afternoon only thing I have not replace is solenoid not sure how that works on c car
