Re: melex conversion to gas
1. Wash the cart and sell it on CL.
2. get a gas cart Seriously. Sell it. I've been here 10 yrs. About twice a yr somebody starts a gas conversion. About 2 of those have been completed and work reliably enough to be serviceable. |

Re: melex conversion to gas
Im actually working on mine right now. Got lucky the next to free Melex i got was already a gas conversion, minus the powertrain. So far i pickup a Predator 212 engine, added autostart to it and mounted it to an existing mount the previous owner set up. I fabricated a bracket for my reverse gear box i pick up off ebay, installed a cvt pulley setup and now just have to mount my final drive gear and im in business. A little bit of fab and imagination is all you need.

Re: melex conversion to gas
Definitely a fun looking project but, the Predator 212 4 stroke 6.5 hp engine is smaller than the original 2 stroke motor in these cart. Let us know how it goes for you.
