2002 EXGO TXT Gas Cart Running but does not want to move
my gas cart has just started doing this where it is running but will not go into gear or move. It just started happening the only thing i have is that i put my foot on the petal and the engine is running but just sits there idle. eventually after several minutes it did finally start moving. it happened twice this weekend so i parked it because it got worse the second time. it has a curfical clutch.
any advise is appreciated. |

Are you sure it's running or just the starter turning the motor over start with new spark plugs and setting valve lash to .004"

its actually running, you can hear it running and since it is gas, smell it. it just sits there like it wants to go but will not move. what happens is after putting your foot on the petal for several minutes the motor starts to sound like it is getting stronger then finally it starts to move.

Smelling gas is not running. That's raw gas that's not getting burned.
You are hearing the starter turning, but not running. These things don't idle. They take off, and run. If it was running, you would have a hot exhaust. This will help you with the valves. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/ezgo-...djustment.html |
