Connecting LED light bar to stock light switch

I have a 20inch light bar that i mounted on the front brush guard of my EZGO TXT. I disconnected the stock lights and used the positive and negative wires from one of the stock lights and spliced them into the light bar wires. Now i can use my stock switch for the light bar. Is there any problem with doing this?

That light bar pulls 10.5 amps. Depending on what else is on that circuit you may need to upgrade the fuse or wire guage.

For what it is worth as I have not done it myself I have seen a standard auto lighting relay used as a means of powering the light bar so you dont have an amperage spike as you kick on the lights, which over time may cause battery fatigue.
I installed a lower power LED Light kit to the underside of my wifes cart and used the standard light switch and so far have found no issues.
