engine ticking and backfiring
I have a Kawasaki FJ400D AS09 in a Cushman Refresher FS-4. It is used on a golf course so needs to run as quietly as possible. It developed a backfiring issue which I have not been able to resolve. I have tried adjusting valve clearance and checked the pedal microswitch adjustment. Are there any other suggestions on things to check beyond pulling the motor and checking lifters?
