Default Vent options for engine heat?

Did quite a bit of driving in the cart yesterday and by the end of it, I could really start to feel the heat radiating from the engine bay

Just curious if anyone has figured out a way or done anything to help the heat dissipate from the engine bay as so it doesn’t radiate up through the seat or body? Really the main downside to a gas cart to me.

Follow up question.....what about if I just put some automotive heat shield on the underside of the seat and around the the inside of the body?

Mine seems to heat a lot also. I think I will try to put a shield ,Aluminum maybe over the muffler. I had also thought of a couple of small scoops on the side panels under the seat to drag some air in. A friend suggested a couple of small fans like on a computer and put them either in the front panel under the seat or on the sides. It seems most of them are 12 volt ,and I am trying to find a couple of them for free. I will post if and when I use some.

Have you thought of mounting a 12V small exhaust fan to push the heat out the back of ther cart?

Computer fan is a good idea until it gets wet. Bilge fan from a boat is fairly waterproof.

I wrapped the header with exhaust wrap. And lined the underside of the seat with material from a welding blanket.

Didn’t even think about the exhaust wrap

And your welding blanket sounds about like my idea of automotive heat shield

How did it work, fairly well?

AirJunky

Welding blankets are much cheaper that rolls of heat shield material, how well do you think it works? When combined with wrapping exhaust

Bought this if Amazon, need more to do inside of the body but covered the bottom of the seat with it. Super easy to cut and apply

Mrjonman, Have you noticed any reduction in noise levels at all? I've got a noisy engine bay in my 2011 with the Kawasaki. Thanks!
