Default '02 EZGO TXT Starting Issue

I have a 2002 EZGO TXT gas golf cart that starts hard, but once it is warmed up it starts perfectly fine. I can pull on the choke and everything and it doesn't seem to help. It almost seems as if I need to feather the gas, like on a carbureted car, for a little bit and then it will take off. I the hose on the backside of the air box was cracked pretty bad on both ends, so I bought a new one off amazon and should have it Saturday, but am guessing that is not it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My 2000 does the same thing and I have had others that did too.

I find if you floor it with the choke out for 10 or 15 secs then raise the peddle to almost an idle works best.

Sounds like you getting to much air and not enough fuel on take off.

When you had to feather the gas years ago on a carb car it was because the accelerator pump was bad. the accelerator pump gives a shot of gas to engine on take off then vacuum takes over.

air restriction is important on these engines, you need a sealed air box.

Also make sure there is no air leaks between carb and intake
