Next question after I got the cart running I noticed oil in the air box. the oil level is a little low any thoughts or ideas

Is the cart lifted?

The pcv (crank case vent) comes out the side of engine and is plumbed into the air box via a small rubber tube. on lifted carts they seem to pull oil because the engine sits at an angle.

You can also pull the vent off the engine (2 screws) and clean the years of build up oil off, that seemed to help mine.

Not lifted yet the guy I got it from said it’s been spitting oil for years

When replacing a front leaf spring is it best to replace in pairs or can you just replace the broken one

I don't know how expensive they are, but it wouldn't hurt to do both.

But I don't think it will make any difference on a cart.

On large vehicles the old spring may be de-arched some and just doing one may make the vehicle unlevel.

Both springs were doing the same job for the same length of time. If you can afford it replace both.
